What Does The Runic Mean
The term “runic” means “a secret, mystery or whisper”.” This essence of privacy and confidential information encompasses the essence of the runic alphabet. This is known not only as a means of communication, but also as a channel for magical practices deeply intertwined with the spiritual beliefs of the ancient peoples who used it. The rune script is thought to be a very ancient writing system that dates back to the Proto-Germanic period around 1500 BC. However, there is no exact information about exactly when and how it appeared. It is also not clearly known where it is based as its origin.
Introduction to Runic – What language is Runic?
Runes are letters of the runic alphabets used by ancient Germanic peoples, including the Norse, Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. The runic alphabets are known as futharks, named after the first six letters of the runic alphabet: F (Fehu), U (Uruz), Th (Thurisaz), A (Ansuz), R (Raidho) and K (Kenaz).
Runic inscriptions have been found in various regions where these languages were spoken, including Scandinavia, the British Isles and parts of Continental Europe.
Each runic symbol, also known as a “rune”, has its own unique meaning and significance. There are three basic futharks:
